“It just works and we minimize cheating”
ProWorkout in Dragør attracts both professional athletes and ordinary people. The new face scan fits well in the modern center and has minimized cheating.
Sundhedshuset in Dragør houses podiatrists, psychologists, physiotherapists, hairdressers and, not least, the large ProWorkout gym, which is part of the physiotherapy clinic ProTreatment.
"It creates a really good synergy that both patients and members can be treated at the clinic and at the same time use our training facilities in connection with their rehabilitation," explains Morten Løber, General Manager at ProWorkout.
Minimizing cheating
ProWorkout offers a 1,500 m2 training area, team training, indoor biking, and rental of tennis, padel and multi-court facilities, allowing for all kinds of physical activities. The center is frequently used by elite athletes in football, tennis, and Formula 1, but for Morten Løber, it's important that all members feel treated equally - and get the best possible experience.
That's why they recently implemented face scan to make access to the gym more secure and modern – and to minimize cheating.
"We used to have fingerprint scanners, but it didn't always work with 100% security and was an annoyance to ourselves and several of our members. In the end, we had to keep the door open because it didn't work, but after we introduced face scan, we've been able to lock the door, and the fact that members must look at the tablet makes them feel seen in a different way, which has clearly minimized cheating for us," explains Morten Løber.
A solution that works
In addition, it is important to him that the solution makes it easy and quick for members to get in. ProWorkout is open from 5.30 am to 11 pm every day, and it is not staffed all the time, so there are periods when it is extra important that access control works smoothly.
“Face scan just works. Now the hallway to the gym is closed off, but it's still easy and quick for our members to get in,” says Morten Løber.
